Lyons House is a heritage building circa 1835. Built by prominent Niagara on the Lake lawyer John Lyons and his wife Catherine who was the daughter of famous Butler Ranger’s Colonel Sir William Clause and granddaughter of Sir William Johnston. In its almost 200 years history, Lyons House has been owned by only 5 families. Fine architectural elements, hand made glass windows, wide pine plank floors, crafty fireplace mantles, scrolled stairway and original plaster walls all reminiscent the glorious time when John and Catherine lived here and entertained their guests.
